Qatar-owned BeIn Media Group is in the middle of negotiating a deal to buy US-based film studio Miramax, a senior official has confirmed, following months of rumors about the tie-up.
Speaking to Reuters today, BeIN deputy CEO Yousef al-Obaidly said, “We are optimistic. I think you might hear something on this in the short-term.” Miramax is already partly-owned by Qatar Holding.
