Organizers of the 24th Men’s Handball World Championship have now announced that Australian singer Kylie Minogue will join British performer Taio Cruz in closing the tournament during a post-match concert on Sunday:

Cruz is 29-year-old performer with more than 12 million Facebook fans who has collaborated with several other famous artists, including French DJ David Guetta and American rapper Ludacris to release the popular single, “Little Bad Girl.”
He is also famous for hit songs such as “Dynamite” and “Higher,” featuring Minogue, who is better known by her first name.
The 46-year-old performer has been compared to Madonna and has had decades of hits, including “Better the devil you know,” “Can’t get you out of my head,” and “All the lovers.”

The announcement puts an end to wild speculation about who will be performing in Qatar for the finals, following a star-studded lineup of several other western artists during the two-week handball tournament, including Gwen Stefani, Pharell Williams and Jason Derulo.
The semi-finals will be held tonight, with Qatar facing off against Poland, and France competing against Spain at the Lusail Multipurpose Hall. The two winning teams from those matches will take it to the finals on Sunday.

Tickets to the finals can be bought online here and range in price from QR75 to QR500 a seat.
Even after paying for the seats, fans may want to plan ahead and arrive extra early to the venue. Organizers have already warned visitors to get to tonight’s matches several hours before they start.

The advice comes after hundreds of paid ticket-holders complained on Wednesday about being turned away from the quarter-finals because their seats were already occupied.
This may be because organizers try to ensure that the stands are full when the national team competes by opening the hall early to fans for free during these occasions.
